Aviation Course Registration for spring semester 2009 at the new Albertville site of Enterprise-Ozark Community College. Foster Parent Safety Kit Drive to collect cabinet door locks, protective covers for electrical outlets, safety gates for stairs, smoke alarms and batteries, 5-pound dry chemical fire extinguishers, safety kits for curtain and blind cords, first aid kits, carbon monoxide detectors, rope ladders for second story windows, and lock boxes for medications. Twin beds and/or bunk beds with mattresses, and dresses are also needed. Scrap book supplies including paper, stickers, art supplies and binders are needed to prepare memory books for the foster children. Marshall County PALS, People Against a Littered State, a non-profit organization dedicated to the goal of cleaning up Marshall County and keeping it clean, green and beautiful through educational programs and hands-on projects such as litter pick-ups, river rescues, etc. The goal to achieving litter free roadsides, public places and communities is based on volunteerism. Marshall County area host families urgently needed for foreign students. Learn firsthand about another culture without leaving the United States and establish a friendship that will last a lifetime. Many local high schools are still open to enrollment and encourage families to get involved. Pacific Intercultural Exchange has international students from more than 40 countries arriving into the area for homestay programs. Youth For Understanding is currently seeking volunteer families to host international high school exchange students for the upcoming August 2006-2007 school year. Each year YFU provides international educational and American home-stay opportunities to about 2,000 exchange students. These students are between the ages of 15 to 18 years old and are from one of 50 countries around the world.
